The Apple and the Sparrow

Trees, the trees, they grow green;
  They grow green for the eye that loves green.
Red, red, the apple is red;
  The apple is red for the eye that loves red;
    And sweet for the tongue that loves sweet.
The sparrow, the sparrow is lulling;
  It is lulling for the ear that loves lulling.
And the lover, O the lover is thrilling;
  She is thrilling for the flesh that loves thrilling.
