Random Couplets

I am choosing to post just a few random couplets this week for the pure fun of it. They need no names.

Bravery is the height
Of right when at its might.
Give light to the truth at first,
Lest lies from darkness burst.
History is made of humanity's pain
And is a graveyard of their slain.
Hate does not befit the one
Against whom hateful deeds are done.
If you cherish something, act for love;
Not to impress or be above.
Old words do hold a treasure left
By those now of their life bereft.
