Desert’s Death

The following is a small bit inspired by Frank Herbert’s Dune.

The dust, the dunes, they bring reprieve –
In the wake of the Worm receive
Death as the price of life
In the Sun that watches the strife
Of the flesh with the leeching heat
And with the winds that wear and beat –
The sands, the winds, they bring reprieve.
